STOP
On the first day of April i built a person out of sticks
and living things
so that i may have some company
The stand
nestled in the dirt
is supported by the Earth
just behind a tree of vines
and you can see it especially well as the sun climbs
Northward in the sky
arcing towards summer days of heat
where feet never leave sand and skin crackles
in the shower not able to stand
hot water
after receiving so much solar love
This 1st day of April
i put myself above me
and found time to do the things that are simply
pleasing
Oh what a gift,
this existence is
if you let it be
Oh what a gift
the smile we share between tea leaves
Oh what a gift
a simple conversation can be
to lift the solemnity of a lonely mind
and create a divine connection
here in this holy dimension
where all of life is made to play
competing for love
on vast plains of open space
how grateful to take away
what is unnecessary
leaving behind
pure. sweet. oil.
to drip down the chin
pure.sweet.love.
and toothi grins
